Rosa Merino is killed crossing University Avenue at a stoplight while walking to work. Some newspapers mention her not being visible enough. Many dangerous crosswalks in Provo have orange flags available for pedestrians to carry across in order to help with visibility.  So I sew an orange crosswalk flag as big as a car. Vehicles still swerve around me rather than stop. Being as big and obvious as a car does not change my status in the pecking order. I am still a lowly pedestrian.
